B4 the podcast

Episode number 26 of Be.For the podcast is filled with Brazilian soul. This latest issue highlights the representation on the techno scene of an artist who has carefully built her career ever since adolescence. ANNA comes from the underground jungle where she has always had very clear ideas about the electronic music sounds inundating the streets where she grew up.

Exploring her discography, we come across masterpieces such as "Six Figures", on the Kraftek label, one of Carl Cox’s favourite tracks. In addition, the ‘Let Me Take You’ EP, out on Turbo, has featured prominently in the playlists of both Richie Hawtin and Damian Lazarus, while the artist has also been consistently supported by BBC Radio 1.

For Be For the Podcast, she gives us an hour full of swirling sounds as if like spirals, defined by bass drums cutting frequently through the session. This is a set with many breaks announcing a surge of rapid rhythms in which deep voices filter through, while softer instrumental moments and saxophone sounds snap frantically.

All in all, 60 minutes of intensity in which there is also room for melodies. ANNA includes all the sentimentality that techno incorporates and shows an all-encompassing side to deliver an ending that takes you on a ride to another dimension.
